Vintage Photography Experience

Join me for a personalised vintage photography experience in one of three stunning locations, Durham, Newcastle or Hexham. You’ll get an introduction to how the film camera works, before we load the film and go to find some of the best photo spots.

You don’t need any prior knowledge about photography, and the vintage photography experience is perfect for individuals, couples or small groups. We have a number of vintage cameras, ranging from the 1930s to the 1990s, and we can shoot in either black and white or colour. The price includes one film, development and high-resolution scanning, so you can view and share your photos online afterwards.

The experience usually begins in the Market Square and lasts approximately an hour. It costs £75 per person, for one to four adults. If you are interested, please get in touch for more information or to confirm dates.

Durham – We’ll get photos at Durham’s famous 11th century Cathedral and see the Castle in the UNESCO world-heritage-site. The cobbled streets and many bridges over the river make for perfect opportunities to experience vintage film photography at its best.

Newcastle – We’ll take photos at Grey’s Street, the 12th century Castle, the 13th century Black Gate, and at the 14th century cathedral. The historic riverside area with it’s grand old buildings and incredible bridges makes the perfect setting to take vintage photos too.

Hexham – We’ll get photos in the grounds of Hexham’s historic Abbey, with the neighbouring park offering great opportunities for photography too. The market place, Moot Hall, and Old Gaol offer plentiful opportunities to get great images too.
